
Avenue Supermarts owned retail chain DMart has reported a robust 17 per cent year-on-year increase in its standalone revenue for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending 31st December 2024. Revenue for the quarter reached US $ 1.81 billion (Rs 15,565.23 crore), up from US $ 1.54 billion (Rs 13,247.33 crore) in the same period last year.
DMart currently operates a network of 387 stores across India. While the company’s shares were witnessing a slow progress with a 12 per cent drop in the past 12 months, following the announcement, the DMart shares closed 1.52 per cent higher at Rs 3,615.30 on the National Stock Exchange
Parent company Avenue Supermarts also registered an 8 per cent year-on-year growth in its quarter ending in September with a standalone net profit at US $ 82.7 million (Rs 710.37 crore) in comparison to the previous year’s net profit of US $ 76.8 million (Rs 658.54 crore).
The consolidated profit rose 5.6 per cent year-over-year to US $ 76.81 million (Rs 659 crore).
