
Lim Mi-Kyoung has been appointed as the new senior vice president and head of Australia and New Zealand at Authentic Brands Group. In this role, she will be responsible for managing the company’s growth in these two territories.
In an effort to promote long-term growth, Mi-Kyoung, who is Authentic’s first employee located in Australia, has been entrusted with assembling a group of industry specialists to expand the company’s portfolio in the area.
She comes to the organisation from WP Brands, where she spent more than 17 years in the role of managing director. She has previously served as Hallmark Cards Australia’s licencing manager and Gaffney International Licensing’s director of licencing.
In a release, Wesley Chu, EVP of APAC at Authentic, said, “As our business continues to grow across the region, we are bringing in top talent to usher our brands and open the door to new opportunities to launch new categories and distribution channels.”
In her own statement, Mi-Kyoung said she was “honoured” to take on the role, adding, “Their commitment to innovation and brand stewardship aligns with my passion for establishing partnerships that drive long-term brand value.”
