In order to ensure the survival of the British fashion brand in the US and Canada, Ted Baker has announced key licensing partners, according to Authentic Brands Group (Authentic), a global platform for brand development, entertainment, and marketing.
Authentic, the owner of the intellectual property associated with Ted Baker, has inked licence contracts with BCI Brands, Peerless Clothing, and United Legwear & Apparel Co. (ULAC).
Jarrod Weber, global president, of sports and lifestyle at Authentic, said in a statement, “Establishing a new and vibrant core business in the US and Canada is an essential building block for the revitalisation of this brand. Today we announced strategic partnerships with three esteemed Authentic partners that will reinforce Ted Baker’s presence, bolster its credibility and forge enduring connections with premier retailers across the US and Canada.”
Ted Baker-branded men’s golf, denim, and sportswear categories are now designed and produced by United Legwear. It will oversee all concession and wholesale stores and run the Ted Baker online store for the United States and Canada.
Additionally, Authentic and Peerless have inked a long-term agreement for the design and production of Ted Baker outerwear, dress shirts, and customised apparel for the US and Canada. For North America, BCI Brands will handle women’s dresses, sportswear, and denim.
