Following an impressive first quarter, Lululemon is now set to launch hiking products, besides releasing a new running fabric SenseKnit.
Next few weeks may see the Canadian athletics retailer sell some styles that are specifically designed for the hiking category.
It’s been a week of happening for the retailer! Besides, planning to come up with SenseKnit, the clothing retailer also debuted its Restfeel slide – the second shoe in its footwear section.
If these weren’t enough, the retailer also intends to bring back some of its very popular products in limited editions.
The first quarter had witnessed Lululemon’s operating income grow by 34 per cent to clock more than US $ 260 million. The net income also surged by over 30 per cent during the said quarter.
Moving forward, the fashion retailer now expects to generate somewhere between US $ 1.75 billion and US $ 1.78 billion in the second quarter. It also hopes to touch between US $ 7.61 billion and US $ 7.71 billion for the year.
Lululemon was founded in 1998 as a retailer of yoga pants and other yoga wear, and it soon expanded to also sell athleticwear, lifestyle apparel and fashion accessories.
