
Sports and lifestyle brand Asics, has introduced the new ‘Celebration of Sport’ product line in partnership with a team of Indian athletes. This collection highlights performance footwear and plans to encourage people to embrace physical activity and movement.
“Asics trusts in the changing influence of movement to strengthen both mood and mind,” shared Laura Bolgen, the Director of Product Management for Performance Running Footwear at Asics, in a press release. “Our name ‘Asics’ derives from a Latin acronym meaning ‘a Sound Mind in a Sound Body’, demonstrating in our founding philosophy. With the start of the Celebration of Sport collection, we strive to pass on a sense of positivity and comfort through physical activity. By moving your body, you raise your spirits and give out positive energy to those around you.”
The entire Celebration of Sport collection made its first appearance in India on 22nd July, both online and offline. Asics partnered with Indian athletes Rohan Bopanna, Amit Panghal, Sumit Nagal, and Manpreet Singh to support the new line.
The collection displays a variety of footwear comprising the ‘SuperBlast™ 2’ running shoe, the ‘Gel-Quantum 360™ VIII SportStyle’ shoe, and the ‘NetBurner Ballistic FF MT 3 Paris™’ volleyball shoe designed by the brand to encourage wearers with a sense of elevation and push them to embrace physical activity.
Asics currently runs 108 stores across India. Established by Kihachiro Onitsuka in Japan in 1949, the brand focuses in manufacturing and distributing footwear, apparel, and accessories.
