An arrest warrant has been issued against the Chairman of scam-hit e-commerce platform Alesha Mart.
This is as per media reports which added a Dhaka court has recently issued the warrant against Manjuru lAlam Shikder in relation to a cheque dishonour case while underlining Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Syed Mustafa Reza Noor issued the arrest warrant on 25 January morning even March 27 has fixed as the date for filing report regarding the arrest.
Reports further added the court has issued summons against Shikder and fixed 25 January for his appearance in the court but as he failed to appear before the court on the due date the warrant was issued.
According to the case, Tofazzal Hossain, who is the plaintiff was given a cheque by Alesha Mart, as the e-commerce brand failed to supply him a motorcycle that he ordered after full payment online but when he reportedly tried to encash the cheque, it was dishonoured.
