H&M Group will open its Arket chain in a key European destination next year with it debuting in Milan. The flagship store will arrive in the spring and will be the label’s first step in Italy.
A curated range of ready-to-wear and accessories for men and women, as well as childrenswear, bodycare, and interior design, will all be available at this lifestyle destination. “Timeless staples” and “seasonal fashion drops capturing current trends” will be combined in the fashion offer.
Customers can also find the Arket café inside the store, just like in the other sites, which was created and is run by Swedish chef Martin Berg. A vegetarian menu, seasonal pastries and specialty organic coffees will be available at the café.
Arket MD Pernilla Wohlfahrt said, “For me, Milan is synonymous with quality and craftsmanship, which makes it one of our most anticipated openings so far.”
Similar to other smaller chains, H&M has been moving slowly with the Arket rollout. During 2017, the brand had its online debut in 18 markets at the same time that it made its physical debut in London (on Regent Street). The international expansion plan’s steady pace can be seen in the seven years it took to reach Milan, a significant location.
