The ex-employees of Arcadia Group, whose brands were recently bought by UK-based e-commerce giants Asos Plc and Boohoo, are seeking charity aid from Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT).
Earlier this month, the employees were reported to be demanding compensation for not been consulted following Group’s collapse into administration.

The FTCT charity helps providing grant funds to families and firms. Reportedly, between 12 and 15 February, several grant funding enquiries, which FTCT received, were from the ex-employees of Arcadia Group.
The charity also added that though it was already extending grant assistance to the employees of the Group, the number of people seeking support has gone up following recent acquisition of Arcadia brands.
Many of the former employees of the Group are applying for grants through social media referrals made by their company colleagues and friends.
Here it is important to note that over 12,000 jobs have already been, or are on the verge of being, hit following the sale of Topshop, Topman, Burton and Miss Selfridge brands, amongst others.
