Ted Baker, the UK retail giant, has announced the appointment of Arcadia’s Anthony Cuthberston as company’s Global Creative Director.
This is the first time the company has created the role of Global Creative Director.
Anthony, who is presently working as Topshop’s Global Design Director, will be joining Ted Baker in the second half of 2020. Until then, Michael Bastion would work as interim creative officer.
The British retailer, reportedly, said Anthony will be accountable for all brand, store, product and creative direction strategies.
Expressing delight over Anthony’s appointment, Rachel Osborne, Chief Executive Officer, Ted Baker, said “We look forward to welcoming Anthony, whose experience at a number of high-profile brands has given him an excellent understanding of what it takes to amplify a brand and make it more relevant.”
Rachel added that Anthony’s rich experience will help Ted Baker expand its products and thereby return to the days of profit.
Anthony’s other roles included creative director positions with Sass and Bide and M Webster Holdings, which owns Jigsaw, Marcs and David Lawrence.
