Foot Locker, the well-known American sportswear and footwear retailer, has, reportedly, merged its Champs Sports and Eastbay brands.
In 2020, the retailer had successfully integrated the corporate organisations for both the brands.
Known as ‘Champs Sports X Eastbay’, the merged brand has its unified logo with focus on youth sports market.
With the successful unveiling of ‘Champs Sports X Eastbay’, the brand is now launching an exclusive apparel collection with ‘Uninterrupted – an athlete-led media brand that’s been a part of The SpringHill Company.
The merger, importantly, brings together a sports performance brand (Eastbay) and a lifestyle brand (Champs) under one roof. The intent is to inspire new generation of athletes and help them train and live at their best.
Reportedly, the blending of two brands will not change the branding or assortment of Champs stores.
The apparel line is set to begin on 1 December, and will comprise the best of hoodies, T-shirts, joggers, accessories and compression pieces. The collection launches on Eastbay.com and ChampsSports.com, besides being available at select Champs Sports stores.
Foot Locker has its headquarters in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, and is operating in 28 countries. It generated US $ 8.0 billion in 2020.
