
American Giant, a leading American clothing brand, has declared a partnership with Walmart to provide American-made T-shirts at 1,700 Walmart stores countrywide. By utilising Walmart’s broad purchasing power to boost production quality and volume inside American factories, American Giant will launch a 100 per cent American-made T-shirt in time for the 4th of July holiday. This partnership marks a major milestone in its efforts to revive American textile manufacturing.
The primary Walmart offerings from American Giant will comprise of T-shirts made from American cotton grown across farms in the Southeastern United States and produced in factories stretching from the Carolinas to California. Walmart shoppers will have a selection of T-shirts in red, white, blue, and heather gray.
This scheme aligns with Walmart’s continuing commitment to its US manufacturing program, which plans to source US $ 350 billion worth of products made, developed, or assembled in the United States.
Andrea Albright, Walmart’s Executive VP of Sourcing, lauded American Giant as a leader in American-made clothing, praising their achievement in manufacturing first-class apparel domestically.
