Amazon India announced that its Great Indian Festival 2024 achieved the highest customer visits in its history, with over 140 crore visits recorded on its platform. More than 85 per cent of these customers came from non-metro cities, highlighting the platform’s extensive reach across the country.
Saurabh Srivastava, Amazon India’s vice president of categories, commented, “Customers’ growing trust in Amazon India is demonstrated by this overwhelmingly positive feedback. Our commitment to providing an outstanding shopping experience with a large selection, unrivalled value, quick delivery, and ongoing innovation is best demonstrated by the Great Indian Festival.”
The sale event kicked off early for Prime members, with over three crore products delivered to them nationwide, either on the same day or the following day. This delivery surge marked a 26 per cent increase from the previous year’s event.
Amazon India also saw a 70 per cent rise in sellers crossing the Rs 1 crore (around US $ 118,892) sales mark compared to 2023, with small and medium businesses, artisans, and women entrepreneurs selling over 1,000 units per minute during the sale.
