While Amazon’s fashion division has just seen its leader poached by the Nike group, Jenny Freshwater is taking over as vice president of Amazon Fashion & Fitness.
Since 2010, she has been employed by the Amazon company. She was vice president in charge of planning before taking over as vice president in charge of traffic and marketing technology in March 2021. She was a data architect for RealNetworks, Capital One, and T-Mobile in the past.
Her appointment to the position of CEO of Amazon Fashion & Fitness follows the news a few days ago that Nike hired Muge Erdirik Dogan, the former president of Amazon Fashion, to fill the position of Chief Technology Officer for the American equipment manufacturer. She joined Amazon sixteen years ago, and in 2021 she was named president of Amazon Fashion.
Amazon Fashion recently said that its physical stores will close. When the programme was first introduced seventeen months ago, it provided points of sale with themed and trend-based looks that customers could order via a flashcode system. There were installed points of sale in Columbus, Ohio, and Glendale, California.
