Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet is all geared up to launch a new denim line as a sister label to their main brand.
Dubbed AO.LA, the denim includes a slew of denim offerings, silk jacquard kimonos, knit T-shirts, vintage rocker T-shirts and cropped jackets. The look focuses on ‘casual cool’ by presenting a modern day take on the 70s that is brought about by edgy detailing.
Labelled as Good, Great, Beautiful, Perfect, Amazing and Fabulous, the denim offering consists of high-rise bell jeans, high-rise exposed button jeans, ankle skinny jeans, low-rise skinny jeans with studs, and embroidered boyfriend distressed jeans.
Giving in to the slogan trend, the waistbands on these denim pieces feature “You look good today,” “You look great today,” “You look beautiful today” and “You look gorgeous today” as statement phrases while the AO.LA t-shirts feature pop iconography, such as Mickey Mouse, The Beatles and David Bowie.
The collection will be designed in New York and produced in Los Angeles and 10 per cent of net proceeds from the Good jeans will benefit Good + Foundation.
The range is priced between US $ 198 and US $ 295 for denim, US $ 135 and US $ 150 for tees, US $ 330 and US $ 495 for kimonos and US $ 1,095 for their leather jacket. It will be launched alongside the brand’s resort line and have a section dedicated to it on the Alice + Olivia website.
The collection will be available for purchase at Alice + Olivia’s US-based stores and also retail at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores.
