In a fresh update to the classic Stan Smith line, adidas has joined hands with the multi-brand retailer Dover Street Market to bring a new look to them.
The shoes feature a minimal design and also scrap the three side strips which adidas is known for. Instead the shoes have smooth leather on the top and feature a long stich pattern on the front of the sole.
The logos can only be found at the top half of the back of the shoe with the left featuring Dover Street Market’s logo, while the right featuring adidas’ popular Trefoil logo.
The Stan Smith line was launched by adidas in 1971 when the tennis champion Stan Smith was ranked the top tennis player in the world and by 1988 the company had sold about 22 million pieces.
The line was then re-designed to cater to the modern audience while making several versions of the shoe including Stan Smith 80s, Stan Smith Millennium, Stan Smith x Stella McCartney among many.
The shoes are available in black and white variants and are priced at GBP £130 on Dover Street Market’s London website.
