
ACS (Advanced Clothing Solutions) has welcomed Peter Williams as its new Non-Executive Chairman and Director. Williams is an industry veteran renowned for his contributions to the fashion and retail sector. He served as a chairman of Mister Spex (Berlin). His career boasts a history of leadership in globally acclaimed brands, including Sophia Webster, Boohoo, Superdry, Jaeger, and Blacks. Notably, Williams also held a seat on the board of ASOS for eight years.
Before taking on his responsibilities as Chairman, Peter Williams had an influential tenure at Selfridges, where he initially served as Chief Financial Officer before becoming the Chief Executive Officer. During his remarkable thirteen-year journey with the company, Selfridges underwent a substantial transformation, became a publicly listed entity, and expanded its footprint by opening three additional stores outside London.
Andrew Rough, the Chief Executive of ACS expressed happiness and further emphasised the company’s ambitious plans to expand ACS’s role in enabling circular solutions for fashion brands and retailers
In response to his appointment, Peter Williams conveyed his excitement, saying, “I am very excited to be joining the ACS Board. Whether this be rental, pre-loved, or recommence, ACS is perfectly positioned to enable its customers to exploit circular fashion business models in addition to the traditional linear process.”
