Sai Silks (Kalamandir) Limited, South Indian retail textile and ethnic apparel company recorded a turnover of Rs 434 crore in Q2 FY27, ended September 30, compared with Rs 444 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, marking a 2.25% year-on-year decline.
For the first half of FY27, the company’s cumulative turnover stood at Rs 809 crore, compared with Rs 823 crore in H1 FY26, a decline of around 1.70%.
During Q2 FY27, Sai Silks opened four new format stores across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Two stores were opened in Karnataka and two in Andhra Pradesh, adding a combined retail area of 26,324 sq. ft. The company’s total retail space reached approximately 8.20 lakh sq. ft. as of September 30, 2026.
The company has been expanding through specialised regional formats. The new Andhra Pradesh outlets include stores under the Mandir and Varamahalakshmi Silks banners. Store expansion during the first half of FY27 has added approximately 56,000 sq. ft. of retail space.
The expansion comes amid a modest decline in turnover, indicating that the company’s physical retail footprint is growing despite softer sales during the quarter. The performance of the newly opened stores and the productivity of existing outlets will be key factors for the company’s future growth.
Sai Silks also appointed Shilpa Kotagiri as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective October 1, 2026.
Earlier, on August 7, 2026, the company launched a new store under the Kalamandir format in Mysore, Karnataka.
