RSWM Limited, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group has entered into a joint venture agreement with Spain-based Noize Design Studio (NDS9) to establish an integrated garment manufacturing platform in India focused on premium denim and activewear for international apparel brands.
The location of the facility is yet to be finalised.
Barcelona-based NDS9 is an apparel design, product development and global marketing company with design operations across Europe, North America and Asia.
The joint venture, named LNJ NDS9 Global Private Limited, will be held by RSWM and NDS9 in a 74:26 equity ratio, respectively. The first phase of the project will involve an investment of approximately Rs 186 crore (US $19.49 million).
The facility will be developed around Industry 5.0 principles, incorporating automation, digital manufacturing, artificial intelligence, sustainability and human-centric operations.
Phase 1 will have an installed capacity of 500,000 denim garments per month. Under Phase 2, the facility will add another 1 million denim and activewear garments per month, taking the total installed capacity to 1.5 million garments per month.
The project will be developed as a green manufacturing facility, with rooftop solar power planned from the beginning. The project will be structured in two phases, with denim production planned initially, followed by knits.
Under the joint venture, RSWM will be responsible for manufacturing, plant operations, procurement, quality systems and supply chain management. NDS9 will handle design, trend forecasting, sales and marketing, product development, merchandising, customer engagement and international business development.
RSWM Chairman and Managing Director Riju Jhunjhunwala said “the joint venture would support the company’s move towards a more integrated, value-added apparel business, combining RSWM’s manufacturing capabilities with NDS9’s design and international market expertise”.
RSWM Joint Managing Director Rajeev Gupta said the facility would be developed in two phases, with denim production followed by knits, and would include rooftop solar as part of its manufacturing setup.
NDS9 Founder and Chairman Anurag Chauhan said the partnership would combine the company’s design capabilities with RSWM’s manufacturing expertise to develop apparel for international fashion brands.
NDS9 Managing Director Aryash Chauhan said the joint venture would provide customers with an integrated offering covering design, product development and large-scale production.
