
Noida has become the first successful garment cluster closure under the Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme under the aegis of MSME, NPC (National Productivity Council). Nine companies – 22nd Milestone, B. L International, Meenu Creations, Priti Wear, Rainbow Fabart, Rag Trade India, Sahu Exports, Strange Exports and Avid Apparels /Wear India were involved in this scheme while Fashion Futures, Delhi was the consultant.
Recently a closing ceremony was organised in Noida where Meenu Creations won the best factory award. Pooja Makhija, Director Fashion Forward, Lalit Thukral, President, Noida Apparel Export Cluster , Anil Peshawari of Meenu Creations were present at the event. Sunil Bhargava, Additional Secretary, NAEC (The Noida Apparel Export Cluster) and Director Rag Trade India, responsible for the monitoring of the scheme, said that the opting companies are being helped by consultants to become lean as a means to increase productivity and reduce cost.
