Nike Inc plans to establish a new campus in Bengaluru as the sportswear company expands its operations in India.
According to the company, full-time Nike employees based in India will begin moving to the new campus from FY28. The facility will support work across Nike, Jordan and Converse. Its exact location has not been disclosed and is expected to be announced next calendar year.
The campus is part of changes to Nike’s operating model aimed at accelerating and scaling its Sport Offense strategy. The company said India is an important growth market and manufacturing hub, supported by local capabilities and access to talent.
The new campus will support commercial operations, manufacturing growth and the development of new capabilities in India and globally. Nike stated that the investment will also bring its teams closer to local consumers and athletes.
Nike already operates major campuses in Beaverton, Oregon; New York; and Shanghai.
Venky Alagirisamy, Nike’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, said the company plans to strengthen its operations and partnerships in India.
He added that Bengaluru will have an increasingly important role in Nike’s future, with the campus supporting its investment in the local market and capabilities to serve athletes and consumers globally.
