The PM MITRA Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel plan, which aims to create a sophisticated textile park in Pithampur, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, is being highlighted at the Global Investors Summit 2025 (GIS 2025) in Bhopal.
The Madhya Pradesh Government will host a showcase to attract businesses looking to establish operations in the park. Investors would have access to full capabilities, including design and dyeing.
The summit, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated on 24th February, intends to draw in investment in organic cotton by enticing potential investors to set up knitting, weaving, and machine manufacturing facilities.
Mandideep, Bhopal, Pithampur, and Gwalior are set apart for machine manufacturing facilities, whereas Chhindwara, Bhopal, Nimar Belt, Burhanpur, and Jabalpur are allocated for knitting and weaving.
The Chief Minister underlined the necessity of accelerating procedures pertaining to the US $ 57.65 million (Rs. 500 crore) project authorised by the Textile Ministry for the Integrated Textile and Apparel Park in Dhar district during a high-level meeting held in June of last year. In order to meet the target of 25,000 jobs created by 21 units in the PM Mega Textile Park, he urged authorities to move quickly.
Around 317,000 metric tonnes of premium cotton are produced in Madhya Pradesh, which supplies 47 per cent of India’s non-GMO organic cotton and 24 per cent of the world’s non-GMO organic cotton. Furthermore, the state is India’s only producer of extra-long staple (ELS) cotton.
Prominent Indian textile and apparel firms have already committed more than US $ 692 million (Rs. 6,000 crore) in investments in the PM MITRA Park in Bhensola, Madhya Pradesh.
