In a major move to capitalise on India’s economic prospects, Epic Group and Creative Group have established a new venture that is expected to revolutionise the Indian garment industry. A non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by the two businesses. This first agreement lays the groundwork for a comprehensive collaborative business planning process.
The joint venture is expected to exploit India’s local talent by creating job possibilities for a workforce of 10,000 people, with a possible investment of Rs 500 crores (around US $ 60 million). In addition to improving operational capabilities, this project seeks to create jobs and establish the groundwork for significant economic contributions.
From its early days as a significant textile trading company to its role as a leader in sourcing high-quality fabrics and, since 2005, as a cutting-edge manufacturing company with facilities across Africa, Asia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Jordan, and the United States, Epic Group has been a major player in the apparel industry.
One of India’s most diversified textile conglomerates, Creative Group was founded in 1974 and has been in the apparel manufacturing business for more than 50 years. Its vertical setups and commercial interests include apparel, home textiles, polyester yarn, retail, and outdoor items.
