Planning Minister of Bangladesh urges US Government for tax exemption on RMG

A H M Mustafa Kamal, Planning Minister of Bangladesh urged the US Government to remove taxes on readymade garments import to the country from Bangladesh. The Minster also urged the US Government to import manpower from Bangladesh saying the developed countries should remove all restrictions on exports and allow free movement of people from developing nations, including Bangladesh.

Bangladesh would be able to attain development goals if the bar on the export and movement of people for jobs are waived, he said. The move will benefit both Bangladesh and the migrant recipient country. “We are objectively moving forward to achieve our targets. Our approach is to sustain the growth.”
