Brainbees Solutions Limited, the parent company of baby and mother care retailer FirstCry, reported a 12% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to Rs. 2,162 crore (US $225 million) for the fourth quarter of FY ’26, while significantly reducing its net losses through tighter cost management.
The company’s net loss for the January-March quarter narrowed 57% year-on-year to Rs. 48 crore (US $5.01 million), compared to Rs. 112 crore (US $11.69 million) in the corresponding period last year.
FirstCry’s India multi-channel business, which includes online commerce, quick commerce and offline retail stores, recorded gross merchandise value (GMV) sales of Rs. 2,453 crore (US $256 million) in the fourth quarter, up 12% year-on-year. The business served 11 million unique transacting customers during the period.
Its international business, GlobalBees, which operates in the Middle East, reported GMV sales of Rs. 428 crore (US $44.71 million) during the quarter.
The company’s rapid-delivery initiative RocketBees expanded its presence to 62 cities during the quarter, up from 22 cities in the previous quarter. Its quick commerce platform Qwik is currently operational across select pin codes in five cities. RocketBees offers intra-day delivery services, while Qwik focuses on deliveries within minutes.
Chief Executive, FirstCry, Supam Maheshwari stated during the company’s earnings call that RocketBees was expected to contribute 10% of the company’s revenue by the end of the year as expansion continued across additional cities. He also noted that the company operated an asset-light model supported by an in-house technology stack.
For the full financial year FY ’26, Brainbees Solutions Limited reported a 12% increase in operating revenue to Rs. 8,548 crore (US $892 million), compared to Rs. 7,659 crore (US $800 million) in FY ’25. Net losses for the year narrowed to Rs. 203 crore (US $21.21 million) from Rs. 265 crore (US $27.68 million) in the previous financial year.
FirstCry offers a broad portfolio of products across apparel, footwear, baby care, nursery products, diapers, toys and personal care categories. The company retails both private labels and domestic as well as international brands through its online platforms and offline retail network.
