
Dick’s Sporting Goods has reached an agreement to become the first US wholesale partner for Gymshark, the UK-based athletic apparel brand. The partnership sees Gymshark launching exclusively in 12 Dick’s House of Sport stores this week.
The collaboration follows Gymshark’s opening of its first US retail store at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York, last weekend.
Brendan Kirk, Vice President of Merchandising at Dick’s Sporting Goods, stated that the retailer was “always looking to give athletes access to fresh and surprising brands, as well as further differentiate its product offering.” He added that becoming Gymshark’s first US wholesaler “allows them to do just that” and highlighted that Gymshark is “redefining what modern training apparel looks like with high-performance, stylish pieces rooted in real gym culture,” noting that House of Sport stores are “the perfect place to bring that experience to life.”
Mitch Healey, Director of Retail and Wholesale for North America at Gymshark, said that when searching for a wholesale partner, the company prioritised an “iconic brand” capable of delivering “the authentic Gymshark experience” to its community. Healey added that Dick’s Sporting Goods “just leapt off the page,” praising the store spaces and their ability to make customers “immediately feel like they are in a Gymshark space.” He described working with Dick’s as “a pleasure” and expressed excitement about bringing Gymshark’s gymwear to the retailer’s community.
