The PM Mitra Park, which is being constructed in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, will be one of the nation’s largest textile facilities, according to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who stated that it is anticipated to generate over one lakh direct and over two lakh indirect job possibilities.
In addition to being designated as the project’s master developer, the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has been given permission to create the park’s specific plan and design. The park is expected to cover roughly 1,563 acres in Bhainsola village, Dhar district.
It will boost Madhya Pradesh’s textile industry, he said. More than 60 sizable textile mills and more than 1,200 firms functioning in Indore’s ready-made garment and apparel cluster are currently located in Madhya Pradesh, he said.
In addition to contributing 24 per cent of the world’s cotton supply, the state produces 43 per cent of India’s organic cotton. According to him, the state is known as the Cotton Capital of India since it produces about 31,700 metric tonnes of cotton a year.
According to the Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh has drawn the largest investment in the nation, at US $ 402 million (Rs. 3,513 crore), under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme since the new textile policy was put into place.
In order to support industrial expansion, significant investments are also being made in Biaora and Neemuch, where giant textile parks are being built.
