The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) is set to create a Jeans Park close to Ballari, according to Industries Minister MB Patil. According to him, the government has purchased 154 acres of land for the project.
Globally recognised businesses are anticipated to set up shop in the planned park at Sajanjeerayanakote, close to Ballari, according to Patil, and the political unrest in Bangladesh has presented a chance to support the local denim sector.
Ballari has become a desirable location as a result of investors and exporters looking for alternatives due to Bangladesh’s unpredictable status. This can be taken advantage of by luring large investments into the denim industry, stated the Minister.
Tens of thousands of direct and indirect jobs are created by the more than 500 jeans manufacturing facilities in Ballari, according to a statement from the minister’s office. The minister stated that a meeting with the textiles minister to explore potential incentive possibilities for jeans manufacturing facilities will soon take place. The Industries Department intends to work with the Textiles Department to turn the region into an orderly export hub.
