For the quarter ending 30th September, Trent Ltd, a fashion retailer within the Tata Group, reported a 47 per cent increase in consolidated net profit, reaching US $ 39.7 million, compared to a net profit of Rs. 228 crore (US $ 27.02 million) during the same time last year.
Compared to Rs 2,982 crore (US $ 353.51 million) in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, the company’s revenue for the quarter climbed by 39 per cent to Rs 4,157 crore (US $ 492.81 million). Trent established 34 Zudio locations, including one in Dubai, and seven Westside stores in 27 cities during the July–September quarter.
Commenting on the results, Noel N Tata, chairman of Trent Limited in a statement said thet consumer sentiment has remained comparatively muted. Coupled with seasonality, this has meant that retail businesses have faced headwinds. He mentioned that strong results have been delivered by the team across concepts, brands, channels and categories in the second quarter.
He added that the company will continue to pursue an expansion strategy and deepen store presence with an exploration of additional growth opportunities.
As of 30th September 2024, Trent Ltd. had 226 Westside, 577 Zudio, and 28 outlets spanning various lifestyle ideas.
