Asda has expanded its collaboration with Decathlon by introducing a selection of the athletic behemoth’s merchandise on its George website. As the supermarket chain seeks to expand its third-party offer on George.com, a selection of the sportswear retailer’s apparel, footwear, and accessories are now offered for sale online.
It is a component of Asda’s recent collaboration with Virtualstock, the grocery store’s new range expansion partner.
Decathlon was one of the first shops to launch on George.com, and more would follow in the upcoming weeks, according to Virtualstock, which stated that the food giant was seeking to expand its online product variety across several categories.
“By onboarding reputable companies like Decathlon, our partnership with Virtualstock has allowed us to increase our selection for customers.,” stated Andrew Thompson, senior manager of Asda’s e-commerce portfolio.
“This is an extension of the growing trend of increasing online sales by working with carefully chosen partners to develop a carefully curated online extended range.,” said Ed Bradley, CEO of Virtualstock.
It expands on Asda and Decathlon’s current collaboration, which consists of concessions at 22 supermarkets across the country.
