Even as the industry struggles, it is good to hear that few companies in smaller hubs are doing well. Vasu Clothing situated in Indore, which is famous for domestic market is doing very good business in exports and going in for expansion soon. The company which entered the export business only four years ago has plans to double its production capacity in this New Year with a new unit. Construction of the new unit has just begun at Readymade Complex, Pardesipur, Indore where the company is having already a state-of-the-art unit of 500 machines using Richpeace CAD and Gerber Spreader.
The company manufacturing men’s and boys shirts is exporting 80 per cent of its production mainly into South Africa and little to the Middle East countries. Amit Tanted and Ajay Jain, Directors of the company are very upbeat of the new unit. Talking to Apparel Online they shared that the expansion will focus both on export as well as domestic market. “We are exploring new markets as the going gets difficult and it is becoming important to spread out buyer base. Though we started our export business with the US market but in recession we had to move towards other countries. Now again as positive feedback of a market recovery is coming from US, we are trying to export there again,” said Amit.
