Marie Forssenius has been named as the next chief executive officer of the Scandinavian fashion brand Filippa K.
Forssenius, who had previously joined the business as chief financial officer and chief operating officer before taking on the role of interim CEO for the Filippa K Group AB, has been promoted as a result of the change.
Forssenius’s new permanent role represents “an important milestone in the label’s trajectory of international expansion, propelled by a renewed focus of its founding heritage and DNA,” according to a LinkedIn post from the brand announcing the most recent change.
The statement continued: “Having served as acting CEO since April 2023, she has already begun shaping the company’s direction around her strong vision for the organisation’s structure and values.”
The selection of Anna Teurnell as creative lead, who was entrusted with supporting the business’s long-term goal of creating a “globally loved brand,” is among her most noteworthy choices to date.
Before coming to work at Filippa K, Forssenius had been CFO at the Royal Design Group, having spent almost eight years in a variety of financial roles at Gant Sweden.
