China’s apparel and accessory exports have fallen by 8.80 per cent in the January to September 2023 period, according to the official statistics released by the General Administration of Customs, China (GACC).
The country’s apparel exports were valued at US $ 121.22 billion in the 9-month period of 2023 as compared to US $ 132.88 billion export turnover clocked during the same period of the prior year.
Particularly in September ’23, the exports stood at US $ 14.55 billion, dropping by 8.90 per cent on a yearly basis.
In terms of textile exports, China sent textile items, such as yarns and fabrics, totaling US $ 101.92 billion during the period from January to September 2023.
However, this amount saw a significant decrease of 10.30 per cent when compared to the same period in the prior year.
