Canadian luxury brand Canada Goose is set to make a significant impact in the Australian market through an exclusive brand management agreement with Brand Collective, signalling its global expansion.
As part of the agreement, Canada Goose is preparing to open flagship stores in Melbourne and Sydney later this year, alongside the launch of an e-commerce platform and the implementation of wholesale distribution plans. This strategic move demonstrates the brand’s unwavering commitment to retail and the development of its direct-to-consumer network.
With its recent announcement of fourth-quarter results, Canada Goose unveiled its ambitious plans to more than double its retail footprint by the end of fiscal 2028. While a substantial number of new stores will be concentrated in Mainland China, the United States, and Japan, the company also has its sights set on Australia. Presently, Canada Goose operates over 50 stores worldwide.
In Q4 2023, Canada Goose experienced a remarkable 31.4 per cent increase in revenue on a reported basis and an impressive 30.1 per cent increase on a constant currency revenue basis. This growth was driven by multiple factors, including the expansion of retail stores and enhanced growth and performance.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Brand Collective CEO Eric Morris stated, “Partnering with a world-class luxury brand like Canada Goose fills us with great pride. Canada Goose is renowned for its experiential approach and captivating storytelling, immersing consumers in its heritage and empowering them to embrace the world around them. With Brand Collective’s unique expertise in bringing brands to life, Australians can now engage with everything that Canada Goose has to offer in an unfiltered way.”
Canada Goose chairman and CEO Dani Reiss added: “I’m thrilled to be expanding our presence in Australia, bringing Canada Goose to even more consumers. Australia is a world-renowned destination for luxury, and we’ve seen how strongly our brand is resonating in the market. With our long-term strategy in place and an expert partner in Brand Collective, I look forward to this next chapter.”
