For the first time, beer brand Corona and the fashion and lifestyle brand Doodlage have partnered. For an ethical price, Doodlage has produced a collection of bucket hats from repurposed fabric scraps.
‘Chasing sunsets in our upcycled bucket hat made from dead stock fabric in collaboration with Corona in their efforts to divert fabric waste from landfill,’ Doodlage announced on Facebook. ‘A range of accessories such as tote bags, scarves, bucket hats helped us save over 250kg of fabric, in turn generating over 500 hours of fair wage work.’
The global brand of AB InBev hosts a music festival called Corona Sunsets. This year, the company unveiled the ‘Corona Sunsets Festival World Tour,’ during which the event would take place at ‘experiential’ festivals all around the world.
Doodlage had worked alongside several companies to create sustainable product lines. The brand and Studio Beej collaborated to develop a limited-edition range of cork-made handbags last year. The bags went on sale at Doodlage’s online store and were created to be practical, ethical, and adaptable. Additionally, the company launched a ceramics line with Srinia Ceramics and collaborated with Allied Blenders & Distillers to upcycle bags.
Doodlage was founded in April 2012 and sells goods through its multi-brand stores and online store in several Indian metropolises. Paras Arora and Kriti Tula created the label.
