Exporters in Bangladesh will receive Taka 102 per US Dollar for export proceeds effective 2 January, 2023.
Reports underlined this while adding a decision to this end was taken during a recent meeting of the Association of Bankers Bangladesh (ABB) and the Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers’ Association (BAFEDA), which was also reportedly attended by Managing Directors of both public and private banks in Bangladesh.
The dollar rate for remittances has, however, been left unchanged at Taka107, reports added.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, ABB Chairman, Selim RF Hussain reportedly said, “Banks will encash export proceeds at Taka102 from Monday.”
