KARL MAYER has announced to establish relationships with leading denim brands as it continues to be an important player for the denim industry.
The company has signed an agreement to pursue a joint project with Levi Strauss & Co. for a more sustainable indigo dyeing process.
The innovation in indigo dyeing goes hand in hand with sustainability and KARL MAYER reinstates the same with this new partnership.
KARL MAYER is said to be a leader in the fashion market with its PRODYE®-S unit which is increasingly establishing in the rope dyeing process.
It’s worth noting here that, KARL MAYER launched its GREENDYE technology in ITMA Barcelona during 2019. The innovation is based on nitrogen dyeing system, and its advantages include highly reduced chemical consumption, best dyeing efficiency, and significant water savings.
The KARL MAYER’s R&D Center for denim offers the opportunity to test the performance of GREENDYE on a pilot plant with individual trials. “The customer can come to us with their yarn. We dye and warp it and process it with our Italian partners into fabrics that they can compare with their previous goods,” explained Stefano Agazzi, Chief of Technology and Products at KARL MAYER.
