One of the most celebrated fashion designers and couturiers in India, JJ Valaya on Thursday announced the launch of his e-commerce website catering to customers from across the world.
The online address of the portal is www.valaya.com.
While the designer had initially planned the launch of his exclusive luxury brand store ‘The World of JJ Valaya’ this year, he has now pushed the launch date to somewhere early next year owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
JJ Valaya takes pride in the fact that back in the mid-90s, they were “perhaps one of the first Indian fashion houses to launch a website at a time when the world had only just been introduced to the wonders of the internet.”
However, he was quick to add that since online wasn’t the best platform for business during those times, his brand’s focus too shifted to bricks-and-mortar stores followed by expansion plans of the physical stores.
The brand’s e-store is back in an all-new avatar after almost a decade now, shared the ace designer, further asserting that the website was “always a part of my post-sabbatical plans.”
Some of the most prominent collections available with worldwide shipping on the new website include JJ Valaya Accessories, The Shifting Leaves Chevron, Tabriz 2019-2020 and bespoke pieces from Jhalamand House.
