Homegrown omnichannel platform Fynd has launched a virtual try-on solution GlamAR to accelerate the growth of retail businesses during this time.
The technology will help brands create a visual product experience hence enhancing online shopping for customers.
GlamAR will help discover and experiment products using smartphone cameras in real-time. The phone screen will act as a mirror, helping customers experiment with different looks or multiple products at the same time.
For makeup, the technology will personalise shades based on the user’s skin tone and facial features.
By implementing GlamAR, brands can enable patrons to make smart, informed decisions by sampling products virtually without in-store assistance.
Also, the contactless interactions will take care of any safety concerns customers might have about using testers in stores.
The app allows users to take photographs of their looks as well as have the option of sharing it with their peers and friends. This solution can serve as an excellent opportunity for brands to connect with customers as well as ease their process of purchasing goods.
The technology can be applied to various product segments for now like coloured lenses, masks and hair colour.
Reliance-backed Fynd also wants to expand to other product segments like watches, jewelry, etc. Commenting on the launch of GlamAR, Farooq Adam, Co-founder of Fynd, said “With GlamAR, consumers can discover products and virtually try them before they purchase. This launch is another milestone in our vision to enable retail businesses to focus on consumer-centric goals while accelerating growth.”
Fynd has launched GlamAR for download on Android along with a GlamAR Early Access Program for select brands to access new GlamAR features before the public release.
