Stylumia further reports that, on completion of this course, graduates will be well placed for a wide range of careers where strategic decision making is enhanced by the use of quantitative methods.
Stylumia has created a Global Programme for academic institutions focussing on Fashion Design, Analytics and Forecasting. This provides the entire suite of technology from Stylumia to all students registered at the college.
The plan is to be backed by Stylumia’s global network of household name customers who it is in discussions with to provide placements and scholarships to successful students.
Chris Butterworth, UK Commercial Lead for Stylumia and driving the global Academic programme, said “We are delighted to work with one of the leading academic institutions in the world. We believe that if we help provide the relevant consumer driven data to the right people, at the right time, businesses in fashion and lifestyle retail can improve sustainability and make products that their customers want. We are certain that LCF and UAL students are the workplace talent of the future, and we want to support them on their journeys into industry.”
Dr. Satya Banerjee, the course leader for MSc Fashion Analytics and Forecasting and a PhD in Management in information systems, commented “Our course aim, as the first of its kind, is to harness the power of data analytics and forecasting as a study specialism to open new knowledge and career routes for our students. Stylumia is valuable as it gives our students access to real life data decision making but also allows wider thought on the implications of those decisions. With the fashion industry at a pivotal point in its history, working with collaborative businesses such as Stylumia allows us to present a broader subject aspect to our students. We look forward to working together to support our students, the industry and its ecosystem.”
