Md Rassel, the CEO of the controversial e-commerce platform Evaly, was granted bail by a Dhaka court recently in nine cases related to cheque fraud.
Media reports maintained this adding the judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the orders during a bail petition hearing submitted by Rassel’s lawyer.
Despite getting bail in nine cases, CEO of the e-commerce firm will not be able to walk free as he could not secure bail in other cases.
It may be mentioned here, owners of Evaly were allegedly involved in embezzlement of several hundred crores of Taka and have been under arrest after a victim filed a case against them, before Chairperson of Evaly Shamima Nasrin was released on 6 April.
