
Kering, the luxury group from France, has reported a year-over-year (Y-o-Y) growth of 12.2 per cent in its third quarter revenue to clock €4.2 billion.
The growth, notably, has been 10 per cent when compared to the third quarter of 2019.
Revenue from Kering’s directly operated stores, which also include online revenue, surged by 12 per cent Y-o-Y, while the same was 11 per cent when compared to the same period of 2019.
E-commerce numbers too have been growing well – while it was a 24.3 per cent rise Y-o-Y, the surge has been 147.9 per cent compared to Q3 of 2019.
Region-wise, the Group was very strong in North America, while the performance kept on improving in western Europe and Japan despite lack of tourists owing to the pandemic. Similarly in Asia-Pacific, sales were good in the first half, before rising cases hit the sales again.
Kering, which was was founded in 1963, owns luxury brands Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta. It generated €13.1 billion in 2019.
