A new garment accessory unit is going to come up soon at Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (IEPZ), in Ishwardi, Pabna.
The unit will be set up by Golden Ocean Limited, a Bangladesh-China joint venture company, which will invest US$ 1.46 million to set up the unit. It will produce annually 65 million yards of elastic, ribbon, shoe laces, folder elastic and jacquard elastic besides creating employment opportunity for around 92 locals.
As per a press release issued by the concerned company, M/s Golden Ocean Limited on Monday signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) in this regard.
Director of M/s Golden Ocean Limited, Amin Nargis, and Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, Zillur Rahman, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The Executive Chairman of BEPZA, Major General S.M. Salahuddin Islam, Member (Engineering); Mohammad Faruque Alam, General Manager (Public Relations) and Nazma Binte Alamgir were amongst others who attended the signing ceremony.
