We do feel that the market for such products will grow. We are focusing more on bags made of Raffia, cane, bamboo and jute, which are totally sustainable.” To increase production of such bags, the company is in process of capacity building in the North Eastern state of India.
With a strength of 800 people, the company is working with most of the top brands , like the Inditex group, in Europe. The company boasts of a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit.
Last year the company noticed 35 per cent growth and claims the business to be good in the current year also. “Continuously offering new range is a big reason of our growth as we offer all kinds of value additions, no matter it is the specialization of a particular state or city in India,” says Jitendra.
Enkay Exports started in 1982 and today is growing with the third generation of the family. As its factory is in Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP), it doesn’t have any big infrastructure issue despite being in Agra which is not known for products which are being produced by the company.
