AATCC’s International Conference is slated to take place from April 19 to 21, 2016 in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. The event, with a pre-conference functional finishing tutorial and presentations featuring industry leaders, provides industry professionals an opportunity to build and expand their business network.
The AATCC International Conference 2016 will feature a keynote presentation, educational tracks (Concept 2 Consumer®, Chemical Applications and Materials), networking receptions, and the Awards Luncheon.
Keith Hoover, Vice President of Material Process & Color Innovation at apparel brand Under Armour, will provide the keynote presentation entitled “Made Here, Made Possible – Building a Local-for-Local Apparel Manufacturing Model”, at the event. The conference will allow participants to gain and share knowledge about the best industry practises, which will make them carry out manufacturing processes more swiftly.

Recently only, the association hosted a conference on advancements in the antibacterial fabrics and also laid emphasis on topics such as marketing (apparel, carpet, military), antimicrobial chemistry routes including inherent fibre and topical treatment technologies, anti-odour chemistries, test methods and testing, regulatory issues, and a European perspective on antimicrobials.
The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) is a not-for-profit association that provides test method development, quality control materials, and professional networking for textile professionals throughout the world. It has developed more than 200 textile-related test methods and evaluation procedures.
