
ASOS, Online-only fashion retailer of UK noted US $ 1.72 billion in sales for its 15FY, ended on August 31, a 17% increase from US $ 1.47 billion last year. Last year there were 5.4 million downloads of the ASOS mobile app. In August, its mobile devices accounted for 60% of traffic and 44% of sales. Earlier this year, the retailer launched a new version of its app in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Russia, followed by a localized app in China, last month. The company is focusing on expanding its warehouse network in Europe.
New CEO of the company Nick Beighton projects that improvements in logistics and technology will help ASOS double sales in its 2016 fiscal year to US $ 3.86 billion. The company invested £ 50 million in warehouse capability and technology, and is further spending £ 80 million in the new financial year. Its active customers increased to 9.95 million, up 12.5% from 8.85 million the previous year.
