Following the success of the first ever business-to-business denim supply chain show in Bangladesh in March this year, the second edition of Denimsandjeans.com Bangladesh is taking place in Dhaka for two days – 15th & 16th October 2014.

The last edition was a small show with 25 companies but all with their latest innovations and developments, attracted great quality footfall and ended with all participants committing to come back in the next show. The roaring success of the show can be attributed to the right timing and meticulous thought process of its organizer Sandeep Agarwal, Founder, Denimandjeans.com Co-organizers who joined hands with Mostafiz Uddin, Managing Director, Denim Expert Ltd. to make the show a great success. Choosing the right kind of exhibitors and visitation through personalized invitation worked wonders as only serious buyers could be spotted at the show. Fastidious and symmetrical ambiance added charm to the last edition of the show.
Indeed it’s an apt time to launch a show like this in Bangladesh as the country is growing its denim fabric base. Sharing his perspective Sandeep avers, “In the recent times Bangladesh has shown an increased affinity for denim product exports and has even become the second largest denim producer worldwide while being the top exporter of men’s jeans to Europe.” Bangladesh exported over 117 million pieces of jeans to EU in 2013 with a growth rate of about 19 per cent and over 67 million pieces to US with a growth rate of about 11 per cent over 2012 figures.
Addressing these trends of the market, the show will bring together some of the top denim fabric, jeans and apparel suppliers from Asia, Europe and South America to showcase their collections to a select and invited audience of sourcing professionals from numerous brands and retailers. The event will also feature presentations on the latest in denim happenings around the world. This show is intended to create a medium which helps in further adding value to the industry by providing another platform for interaction and business among the denim community.
