A US $ 7.5 million seed round led by AVP (AXA Venture Partners) and Techstars has been concluded by Veesual, the Paris-based AI-powered virtual try-on platform for the fashion industry.
By hiring top US personnel, expanding its current product offering for US apparel firms, and establishing its first US-based office in New York in 2025, the investment will expedite the company’s plan to enter the US market.
Maxime Patte, co-founder and chief executive of Veesual, said in a statement, “The global fashion ecosystem is undergoing a seismic shift right now. The industry is increasingly focused on sustainable production, a better, more relevant buying experience and upcycling as a new standard.”
Veesual has partnered with women’s fashion brand Eileen Fisher to include its virtual try-on technology into the online shopping experience of the brand, in an effort to jumpstart its US expansion.
Blair Silverman, vice president of e-commerce at Eileen Fisher, added, “We are thrilled to be the first US brand to partner with Veesual on this innovative new virtual try-on tool.”
