Doodles, a Web3 media company, is taking a step towards its objective of building a universe that connects intellectual property and social identity and rewards community engagement by releasing a line of physical wearables that have been carefully selected by Pharrell Williams, its chief brand officer.
The 300 ‘Pharrell-Packs’ of digital wearables will be available for free to everyone as part of the Doodles 2 collection, which was released this year and is still in beta.
Digital Doodles wearables from Adidas, Human Made, Billionaire Boys Club (BBC), and Ice Cream are included in the pack. Each bundle contains digital wearables as well as a token that can be exchanged for a single, limited-edition actual article of clothing. ‘OG’ Doodle NFT holders get access to the digital wearables.
Holders of Doodles 2, a collection of pastel-colored cartoon characters, some of which are humans and others of which are objects and animals, can now customise their Doodles. The initial collection, which is limited to 10,000 pieces and can be sold for more than one ETH, is intended to increase community accessibility. Anyone can create a ‘base-level’ Doodle in Doodles 2 that they can customise.
Evan Keast, Scott Martin, and Jordan Castro produced Doodles, a 10,000-strong collection of generative PFPs, in October 2021. Holders of these NFTs can mint by dressing their Doodle in the beta Stoodio, a new product from Doodles that serves as the gateway to the Doodles ecosystem, through a personalised login experience.
The Stoodio will house users’ current wearables, make new ones available, and provide character-building features in addition to special benefits for owners of original Doodles.
252 pairs of the Pharrell x Adidas Humanrace Samba trainers are up for grabs, along with 12 extra pairs of the green 50th birthday edition Sambas. The brands will send the remaining 36 holders a variety of goods, such as an Icecream skateboard deck or a Humanrace hoodie.
