Maloja, a brand known for outdoor apparel and high performance fabric and technologies, has launched a line of protective oronasal face masks designed for everyday use.
The brand was among the first one to encapsulate the benefits of Polygiene’s Viraloff technology into mask manufacturing.
Polygiene Viraloff technology is a brand for treatment of textiles and other products, which eliminates 99 per cent of bacteria in 2 hours.
Maloja intends to use and develop products with antibacterial finishes, breathability and moisture transport while maintaining comfort.
The novelty is a 3-layer mask made using breathable polyester and is equipped with fleece insert acting as a droplet filter. The mask has Polygiene’s Viraloff treatment, which reduces the presence of any harmful bacteria and viruses.
It offers functional fit with a nose clip and elastic bands to make it comfortable around the head and neck. The unisex mask is available in solids and prints.
“Face masks will probably continue to accompany us in our everyday life for a long time; therefore from our view point, it’s more important to have masks that people like to wear – because they are highly functional, comfortable to wear and look good,” said Peter Rauber, MD, Maloja.
