Brookfield Properties, North American subsidiary of commercial real estate company, has planned to bring tech-based solution to 3 centres and thereby offer a contactless shopping experience.
Three of the shopping centres of the mall operators will be equipped with Fit:Match studio: Oakbrook Center in the Chicago area in mid-August, followed by the Glendale Galleria in the Los Angeles area and Stonebriar Centre in the Dallas area in mid-September.
The Fit:Match platform helps customers in finding the right fit garment using their smartphones. The customers are required to get ‘fitched’ by answering a few questions on their smartphones.
The technology captures the human body measurement using the 3D technology to capture 150 points of the body data in just 10 minutes and then recommends the products that would best fit the users.
Once the customers are ‘fitched’ to the platform, they receive a unique Fitch ID. The solution then offers the shoppers with personalised edited assortment of merchandise that would fit them better.
The Fit:Match studio will be spread across an area of about 778 sq. ft.
The customers will have to walk in the area and get ‘fitched’ – a process that takes around 2 minutes. After this, the shoppers can immediately start shopping with the participating brands and try clothes virtually without having to actual try them.
“We’re confident this data-driven, contactless experience will drive traffic and engagement at Oakbrook Center while permanently addressing one of the most intractable problems we all face when shopping for clothes – finding exactly the right fit,” said Patty Hirt, Director of retail development at Brookfield Properties.
